Riven: The Sequel to Myst Reviews

"The graphics of this game are a feast for the eyes. Everything is alive from the ripples in the water, the vast numbers of animals and bugs to be found all over Riven to the movement of the clouds. The smallest details have been included to create an atmosphere that the players can immerse themselves within. The richness of the soundtrack and the sounds of the buzzing bugs and toads add to the atmosphere of the game and create a reality that is so tangible no other game has ever come close to creating."

"I found the puzzles in this game much more satisfying to work on than in Myst. Much more stimulating and far, far more challenging. Some were almost diabolical in their devious nature, which also helps you to see what a mad man Gehn was. Well, was he mad, or just still a very angry and misunderstood man because of the loss of his wife in childbirth? It is clear he loved her dearly as you see her picture and his memories of her in the game. And to take his daughter in law a prisoner…why?"
